The Alabama Writers' Forum has extended its deadline for the 2009 High School Literary Arts Awards and Scholarship Competition(HSLAA)to January 16, 2009.

The 2009 HSLAA is open to Alabama high school students in grades 9-12.  Scholarships are available to high school seniors.  Categories include poetry, short fiction, drama, creative nonfiction, portfolios, and literary magazines.
