The following websites are recommended by librarians at the Orange Beach Public Library. If you would like to use the online versions of Novels for Students, Short Stories for Students and Poetry for Students, the Orange Beach Public Library provides access to these resources.  To access the Literary Criticism, click on the link and enter your library card number and zip code.  More subscription resources can be found via Alabama Virtual Library (AVL).   These resources are available at every Orange Beach Public Library location, as well as at school, at work, or at home with a valid Alabama Virtual Library card.

  Includes free access to the Time Almanac, The Columbia Encyclopedia (Sixth Edition), The Random House Dictionary, a thesaurus, an atlas, white pages, and more.

  Biographies of every First Lady, from Martha Washington to the present.

• National Women's Hall of Fame
  Official web site for the 35 year old institution based in Seneca Falls, New York; provides detailed information about its 200+ inductees.

• Woman's Legal History Biography Project
  Detailed (posthumous) biographical sketches of women in the field of law.
